Mind you unlike most politicians
I dont promise anything, except that I am quite good at
being a pain in the neck.
My objectives should I be
elected in Central Ward.

I will investigate where revenue from resident parking offence fines ends up?
Residents parking cannot make a profit. Over a million in fines taken since sep
2003, where has it gone?
Night time parking fees in the town centre car parks should be removed or lowered.
Partying people should park in town at night and not in residents parking blocking residents from finding spaces late in the evening.
Groups with designated drivers tend not to drink so much and disappear quicker from the town centre without so much post clubbing 'fun'. (i.e. less damage)
Stopping the "sell off" of existing town centre parking, as I believe this is short sighted and making it hard for companies to recruit.
I encourage people to check out the
The Association of
British Drivers
website and perhaps also the
Local Government
Ombudsmen
The older things are the more invisible they become.
e.g. When did you last see your grandparents. :-?
The council is standing by as the oldest standing Theatre in the UK and a grade II building has been 'de roofed' and
has not taken advantage of the £200,000 offered by English Heritage over 2 yrs ago for emergency repairs.
Perhaps we should rename the Mechanics to Swindon's "Unseen University"?
It's the nearest thing Swindon ever had to one.
Getting an Urgent Repairs notice issued on the Mechanics in Emlyn square and getting the £200,000 grant promised by English Heritage for emergency repairs used.
Preserving and improving charity funding, public toilets and promoting use of
public parks.
Raising questions about SBC's usage of funds and salary rises.
Preserving Swindon's historical buildings, green spaces and parks that were gifted to the people of Swindon.
Utilising brown field sites rather than green field sites like the Front Garden.
If it is to be developed, plots should be offered to Swindon people not just profit orientated companies.
Swindon should avoid becoming a 'city' of estates.
Increasing the number of beds/parking places in the New Hospital.
More sensible parking charges. Pay when you leave machines as used in parking houses. Researching the possibility of a University hospital with the existing infrastructure already in Swindon.
Exactly what is needed in
solving some problems! J
