Crime in Swindon

There is a burglar out and about preying on OAPs.
In Riverdale close a 78 yr old awoke to find him in her room at 9PM. He stole cash.
Same night in Hillside Avenue a 77 yr old found same man in her bedroom, he stole cash again.
A 80 yr old couple in Glenwood close returned to find their house ransacked.

The burglar is described as ca. 20 yrs, about 5ft 7in and with short fair hair .

Please be on your guard and note any weird behaviour by people fitting this discription.

Magic roundabout

A 16 yr old boy was beaten and 2 women kicked by one or more asian teenagers.
The first woman was approached by a group of 5 or 6 asianteenagers on York road and threaten with a weapon by one of the boys who then kicked her in the back. 40 min.s alter a 36 woman was threatened between Plymouth street and Northampton, she too was kicked in the back. Later 4 asian boys attacked the 16 yr old at the Magic roundabout and cowardly beat him until he was unconscious

Police said the attackers are about 5ft 3ins, 15 -16 yrs. Two had wedge style hair cuts, one had a white furry jacket, another had a black 3/4 length coat with a red collar. Contact Swindon CID 01793 528111.

Neil Howells of william street admits GBH but denies GBH with intent.

He and his older brother went looking for the man in the bedsit next to his, who they believed was stealing his food.
Neil was armed with a knife and rounders bat. The result was his neighbour was stabbed and hit with the bat suffering a puntured lung The case continnues.....
