Swindon Social Lobby
Coffee, conversation, local events, cats, books and whatever else people have in common.
A mock public lobby for meeting new people around shared interests. This page does not connect strangers yet: everything below runs locally in your browser using fictional demo participants.
Counts are deliberately labelled demo. There is no live participant database behind this mock-up.
Coffee, conversation, local events, cats, books and whatever else people have in common.
20:00–22:00 concept: camera optional, microphones muted, text/reactions, private Synantisi matching.
Event/nearby concept for adults who are currently walking and open to a mutually welcome hello.
Reading, museums, photography and lower-pressure conversation.
Music and meeting intentionally open in two different browser windows. A future organiser would publish a music/player link and a moderated video-room link. Synantisi would not rebroadcast the music.
Useful when the room is empty. The local host creates a simple factual reply, then passes every reply through a Thalia-style humour layer.
This version is intentionally local. A future real AI host could use Claude, ChatGPT or another model through a server-side API proxy, then pass the model's answer through the same Thalia rules. Never put provider API keys in public JavaScript.
No candidate list is shown. The browser compares your selected demo interests with synthetic profiles for this room.
No match checked yet.
Signal is optional transport, not the room database. A later Contact Card could offer Signal/Matrix or another handle. For an embedded browser-video layer, Jitsi is a plausible candidate, but its public meet.jit.si instance is for testing rather than our eventual production service.
A hosted Dance Room needs a doorman/moderator even if nobody speaks on microphone. Cameras stay optional, microphones start muted, and the organiser posts a link to a legitimate broadcaster or licensed player. Each participant plays the music themselves.
If a broadcaster or DJ ever wanted to host one, the pattern is simple: they supply the event and music/player link; Synantisi supplies timed presence, private matching and consent. This mock-up does not imply any relationship with the BBC or a DJ.
Activity first, meeting second. You can dance, walk, read or attend an event without being obliged to talk to anybody. Synantisi only offers an introduction when both sides want one.
After both people accept an introduction, Thalia may draft one light, nonsexual opener using only an approved shared interest. Nothing is sent automatically.
